Whatever your experience with public engagement, featuring at the Festival of Communtiies provides a great opportunity to reach local audiences with Queen Mary research, teaching and other projects and initiatives. This event provides a ready-made opportunity to engage with young family audiences in a relaxed environment.
With families and children often visiting your activity for a few minutes at a time, it's important to think creatively about designing your activities, ensuring a fun, engaging time for all, whilst meeting your activity aims.
This session will cover some of the best ways to engage local residents, how to get started designing your own hands-on activity, and the benefits of being involved in the Festival.
This training is for QMUL staff and students only.
